The founder of Pennachio Eye, he has been practicing ophthalmology since 1985. In February 2017, he decided to start Pennachio Eye to focus his practice on patient needs. Patient care has always been Dr. Pennachio’s top priority, and Pennachio Eye will have patient care be the foundation of the practice. Dr. Pennachio works tirelessly to research new treatments and technologies to make his procedures even safer and more effective.

Dr. Michael Imler, MD
Michael Imler, MD, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies at University of the Pacific in California as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy at Creighton University in Nebraska.
He continued at the Creighton University School of Medicine to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree. He moved to Florida to complete his residency and internship at the University of Florida and decided to begin his professional career in our great state.
Dr. Imler specializes in glaucoma management, cataract surgery and laser vision correction. He helps his patients understand their vision challenges and the different options they have to improve their eyesight. Since 2013 Dr. Imler has provided volunteer service work to communities in Jamaica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras and the Florida Panhandle. He has participated in eye clinics, clean water projects and hurricane relief.
